I've been thinking about it for years. Where should I get it? I'm going to be working in business, so I'll want to look professional in business suits; so not on my ankle or anywhere you will see it with clothes on. Should I get the C5 emblem or the C6 emblem?

Check em out:

C5 (You'll have to scroll down a little to see it)

Tattoos carry a high risk of Hepatitis C, a blood-borne illness that causes liver failure.

"The findings are published in the May 12th issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine.

Researchers found that those who had a tattoo had a 6.5-fold higher risk of testing positive for hepatitis C than other subjects. However, infected subjects with tattoos were not at increased risk for acute hepatitis symptoms compared with their peers without tattoos.

In contrast, people with a history of IV drug use were 7.2-times more likely to be infected with the hepatitis C virus than other subjects and 5.9-times more likely to have experienced acute hepatitis symptoms."

Arch Intern Med 2003;163:1095-1098.

And how would you feel if this or next year's model Corvettes got recalled for some horrible safety problem, like airbags that don't deploy, or gas tank explosions????

My grandmother got Hepatitis C from acupunture. She was so jaundiced it was unbelievable. Don't do this. Then there is my uncle's tattoo artist girlfriend, who stole from my grandmother's purse to fuel her crack habit when she didn't make enough tatooing people while high. Even if they sterilize their needles or unwrap new ones in your face, they could be reusing ink from the AIDS patient that came in before you, because it's harder to notice. I'm telling you, you are safer having unprotected sex...but don't take my word for it. The Google search I just did freaked me right out.

Oh BTW, getting it small will NOT save you money at a reputable shop because their overhead is in new needles, sterilization, and an uncontaminated ink supply, those things cost more than time...

i would highly recommend against it. If your tastes ever change, which they most likely will, then youre more or less screwed. I thought about getting the aston wings on myself, but realized how stupid it would be if aston ever began to suck.

and with the way GM is going, dont count on there always being a corvette.....

the only people that i would think should get tattoos of this sort are people that have had a lifelong passion with them (owning many, working on them, designing them, etc, NOT a casual fan of them)

No not unless it's hidden and really small - like on your ankle but small & tasteful.

The one with the circle is better. I'm not crazy about either one in the link but the C6 looks bad.

dont do it!

I was on the beach last weekend. A woman had tattoos all down her arm. The top one originally said " Phil for ever", Phil was crossed out, under that was "Dave", under that was "Paul" under that was "Richie" etc etc.

What ya goona do if you wake up from a dream and start liking mustangs, cross out the C6 and have Boss there?

I'd say no. With company logos there is always the risk that the company will do something to embarass itself. Remember when Texaco was caught saying racist things about black employees. Bet you're lucky you don't have one of those.

The same goes for celebrities. Think about all the people who have Mel Gibson tatoos at the moment.

So why do you feel it necessary to abuse your body? Tattooing is disfigurement in most thinking people's eye - about as disfiguring as chopping off a leg or an arm.

That's pretty white trash. Don't be suprised when you find your 300 lb self sitting in the trailer park ten years from now.

I wouldn't get any tattoo, because I haven't ever seen one that I would like to be on me for the rest of my life.
