Animal skins and, during battle, light armour. Though contrary to popular belief, vikings didn't wear horned helmets. The common men would have worn plain helmets, if they had helmets at all, whereas the leaders would have possibly worn winged helmets.

Depended on how wealthy they were.
Usually animal skins, sometimes a form of chain mail Sometimes a helmet of some sort if they were wealthy enough, but that horned helmet appears to be a ceremonial or shamanic piece.

skins, rough pieces of cloth. they weren't very good practitioners of hygiene.
higher 'class' level people (like leaders and such) had better weapons and armour, and some even had adornments such as headresses, teeth necklaces, belts.
fur was considered a 'higher class' item.
