For British singers how about Oasis, they are from Manchester, and what about Ian Brown he is also from Manchester.

Damon out of Blur has a great cartoon video when he sings for the band called Gorillaz.

Tom Jones and Charlotte Church and Manic Street Preachers all have very strong Welsh accents. The Proclaimers have a very broad Scottish accent.

British cartoons, Rhubarb and Custard cartoon has a london accent. So does Henry's cat.
The Mr Men by Roger Hargreaves has a good british voice.

For the singer, try "Park Life" by Blur. He has a pronounced cockney accent. Fun song, too. (I'm a Yank, so maybe some helpful Brit could identify his accent a bit more specifically.)
