Is this a laptop? If so you may need to have it serviced. There is no easy way to bypass this password in most laptops.

Dell Laptops for example have a security chip that contains this password. Even if you remove the battery it will still retain this information. You need to find the security chip and Short it out to wipe out the password.

Most Toshiba laptops can be bypassed by making a specific loop back cable that fits into the parallel port (printer port).

As you can imagine there is little information available on the internet about doing this type of password removal. Your best bet is to call around to local computer shops and see if they can do it for you, goods ones should have no problem doing so.

Now if your not using a laptop you can open the side of your computer and remove the CMOS battery. It is a round silver disk about the size of a quarter. Just unplug the computer, remove the battery and Wait 5 minutes and put it back in. 9 time out of 10 this will remove the password. Keep in mind this will set all system settings to default and you may need to go in and tweak them so your system will run properly. Again if you are not sure it would probably be best if you had it serviced.

If its your computer and you didn't put it there, and it just started happening, may I then suggest you getting a virus or spyware/adware scanner and clean your system. go into setup when the computer starts booting up, (hitting F2 when you see it) and then go in and turn off the boot on password.

If nothing else works, you might have to take it to a professional, May I suggest the Geek Squad at any Best Buy store.

you remove the computer battery so that the cmos loses its settings, including password protection, or you have to remember your password.

did you check the box for the computer to remember your ID or automatic sign-in . If you don't want that don't check the boxes. usually periodically they ask you to verify your password anyway
but if you use your computer exclusively i don't see any harm
in automatic sign-in.
