Don't let such things be so aggravating. One should always be in a learning state. If the advice is good...use it , no matter from whom it came. If its bad advice...then you know what to do with that.

People are always handing out advice...most of them should be getting it instead of giving. If you are as wise as you think you are, you will not let these actions get under your skin.

I make a joke out of it and say, "Who asked you anyway?" Or I might say, "Thank you so much, Great Repository of All Knowledge and Wisdom." They know I'm being funny, and we both laugh, and that's the end of it. Try to take things like that in stride. Some people can't help be annoying. They don't mean it.

My father told me when I was small to listen when somebody was trying to tell me something, because no matter how much of an idiot they were, they just might know something that I did not.
So go ahead and speak.
I am all ears!
