You should be friends with him and talk. Find out for sure if he does have a girlfriend or not. If he does then I would lay low and friendly and if he does like you, don't be pushy he'll come around. He may be just be taking his time to get rid of the girlfriend.

be friends with him. do not persue anything with him as long as he has a girlfriend. just build a meaningful relationship through the friendship. the best way to get to know someone is being their friend, and from then you should be able to decide if you really like this person or not.. and if not, you'll end up with a life long friend.. win/win situation, dontcha think?

if you like someone just be what u are and dont over do things. if he has a girlfriend but is not in love with her then he will come back to you and if he doesnt then he never was yours. So just be patient and obey you heart.
