Diesel is a heavier fuel compared to gas.
It creates more Caron particles and Carbon Dioxide.
But gas , even though it produces less visible pollution, it creates more Carbon Monoxide, which is a more dangerous gas to life.
So visibly Diesel is a bigger pollutant and In effect, gas is nowhere behind in this aspect.
Also , with the new age CRDI engines, the DIesel Pollution has been brought down a lot.

Diesel is not cleaned up as much as regular gas. Diesel has more contaminants. These contaminants cause greater pollution when they are burned.
Side note: biodiesel typically burns much cleaner than petroleum diesel because typically there are fewer impurities found in biodiesel.

There is too much oil in it, so it leaves out the exhaust raw.The only advantage of diesel besides fuel economy, is that there is less cabron dioxide coming out from the exhaust. Stay in a garage with a diesel engine running, and you'll see how fast you eyes start burning.

deisel fumes enter the air when leaving the exahust system, and hits the ground, and causes pollution on the ground rather then in the air as we see it.(reason)its heaver in weight.but less contaminant.
