Each kernel of corn on a cob is a whole fruit. The corn kernel is a type of fruit called a caryopsis, which is a kind of fruit with a single seed. That is why we commonly think of a kernel of corn as a seed. Each corn fruit only has one seed. Also the seed coat is fused with the inner wall of the fruit so you can not separate the seed from the rest of the fruit. Finally, a caryopsis is dry and hard when the fruit is ripe.
For corn, the largest part of the fruit is the seed. So even though the kernel is a whole fruit, it looks more like a seed when we plant this fruit.

None of the two.
corn, in botany. The name corn is given to the leading cereal crop of any major region. In England corn means wheat; in Scotland and Ireland, oats. The grain called corn in the United States is Indian corn or maize (Zea mays). The part of the United States where most of the corn is grown, including Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska, is known as the Corn Belt. The Corn Plant
The plant is a grass that was domesticated and cultivated in the Americas long before Europeans reached the New World. It is so changed from the ancestral wild grass that its original form has not been identified with certainty, and it has been so adapted to cultivation that it cannot sustain itself without human cultivation. It is probably a complex hybrid of several related New World grasses, e.g., teosinte (Euchlaena mexicana), a tropical American fodder plant in which the seeds are not united in a cob. The Native Americans had many varieties of corn, e.g., sweet corn, popcorn, and corn for corn meal. White, yellow, red, and blue corn were grown as distinct strains.

Corn is a vegetable. It is a member of the grass family. The distinction between fruits and vegetables is based upon seeds. Tomato is a fruit not a vegetable.

its a vegtable because fruits are cases wich protect the seeds of a plant and corn doesn't protect the seeds of a corn plant i think... corn is like a fruit sac because the whole cob has like 50 kernels each of which is tiny yellow buble with a seed inside i think... i think thats how it works... but corn is a definite veggy because it doesn't protect any seeds technically but tomatoes are fruits.

corn is a fruit. It grows from the plant, it isn't THE plant a-la lettuce, carrots. Just like tomatos are a fruit.

Corn/maize: is grown from a cereal plant. It is neither a fruit or veg. It is a grain/oat.
