If it is maintained regularly then we can expect anything between 4 to 5 years of capacity 250kgs to 500 kgs.

depends on what type you have and how well you maintain it,most are given a life span of 15 to 20 years, but i have mine since 1976 and it still works fine, mine is a oil efm furnace, and i ahve it serviced at least once a year,and in the last 10 years i only had to spend about 300 bucks for some replacement parts.

It's suppose to last 15--20 years but I had to replace mine after 12 years..

It really depends where you live and how much it's running
