That is a very trubeling thought to have but at times we all feel the same. I still have feelings like that and i turn to help where ever I can get it. It's hard to have stress from work or school and still deal with your personal issues. Just thank GOD for the things you have and the chance to change what's wrong in your life. Alot of people wish they had the chance to do things diffrently and if you let life pass you by while you are being depressed things can get worse. Some may say oh go see a shrink! Girl I say pull youself up by the boot straps and jump into life. Mabey jump is not a good word? Shake it off thats what I do when I get in a funk 4sho!

We all go though these times where life seems to get too much, and we blame ourselves for not being pretty enough, our life sucks, etc., etc., My suggestion is maybe it's time you make a change. If you are in school, then maybe do something else that can help someone else. People need people. Why are you so down? Life is such a wonderful journey. If you are unhappy with how things are now, start focusing on what you want to do, and how you can make things better for yourself. Don't hate your life. Be happy you have one to live. There are many options in life and paths that you can decide to take. Don't focus each day on being unhappy, make an effort to truly do something significant. Even if it is a small thing. If you are suffering from hormonal or depression, get some help. No one is perfect, and we all have those crummy days, putting on a perfect person for everyone else is not you. Be yourself, and seek what you need in life, not what everyone else is expecting.

you poor dear, get out of my head,,,
I do understand exactly how you feel, and i bet there are even more people on yahoo who can identify with that,
Well here goes the strange part, i have been feeling the same way the crying etc, and yet i do not seem to help myself,
YET, i can sit here and clearly say you need to get help counseling, probably medication to help get the seratonin
level in your brain better balanced,
Depression, is cruel, and it is an iinvisable lillness,, depression is a physical... as well as emotional illness, and it can be treated,,
being uset, or sad, is one thing, but when it is you, and all the tiime you hurt, and do not see relief in sight it is an illness, and you must get help
IT IS AN ILLNESS AND I MUST GET HELP
SEE, I SAID IT,
i need to stop being a rescuer, and start taking care of myself,
rescuers, are experts at avoiding their own lives, but have all the answers for others,
i seriously know you are hurting, so do something, tell the right people,
I WILL IF YOU WILL,
SERIOUSLY,
you do not need to feel like this, and it is awful when llyou function at only one emotion (the pits)
iF YOU BELIEVE IN GOD, I WOULD START THERE,
AND open up your heart, surrender, and tell him everything, he already knows, and then tomorrow, "take on your day"
i am going to take my own advice, ,, i hope you feel better soon,
good luck

No one can actually tell you what you should do. Right now you are enslaved by your feeling of depression. It doesn't go away in a snap, you have to deal with it. You will feel it no matter what you do. How long? nobody knows!
However, try to cheer yourself up by finding your way of coping mechanism. Even the simple ones that makes you feel better about yourself (movies, friends, chatting, opera, MTV, children whatever you especially like). It wont let the feeling go away but it will help you cope. If you think you need professional help, then by all means do so. In my case talking to someone helped A LOT.
I'm sorry to tell you that you have to endure it. There's no magical formula for it to suddenly go away. But be patient and do your thing, then it'll just go away.
If you are religious, you can try PRAYER. It works. Trust me.

I think that any1 who feels depressed or unhappy w/ life should definitely seek medical attention. evry1 deserves 2 be happy. instead of thinking about all the negatives in ur life, focus on the positive things and the good things about u that makes u -you. also, remember there are always millions of people much worse off than u n would like 2 be in ur shoes. take a long look at urself in the mirror and find all of the great things about urself.

It doesn't matter how great your life is. You're being affected by a chemical imbalance that's causing you to feel depressed. Like the people said before me, you need to go see a doctor and take their advice to get a therapist and possibly put on some medication.. but not until you're officially diagnosed with something.

Ideally you should be able to talk to your parents about how you feel but if you can't, find another adult, your school counselor or a favorite teacher. They might be able to help you get some counseling or possibly medical attention. It's not uncommon to have extreme feelings when you're in school but don't let it get out of hand. Sometimes just talking about your situation with a sympathetic listener can help you put things in perspective.

you really must seek professional help.
sometimes our brains don't produce the right amount of certain chemicals that we need to function.
when this happens, a doctor can prescribe medications to replace or simulate them to make us able to go on with our lives without being sad /depressed.
also , counseling is used as a tool to help us determine if there are any other causes to our depression.
usually depression is a temporary condition that, when properly treated, will subside in time. but it IS a MEDICAL condition which may need medication, so see someone, talk to someone; GET HELP.

you know, i think a lot more people than you think feel bad about themselves, they just don't show it and hide behind false confidence. maybe you just need to change things up. try something new. sometimes you just find yourself in a rut and the remedy is do something different. maybe that will take the focus off feeling so miserable. don't go crazy and compromise your dignity. just do something fun that you've never done before. maybe take a dance class. or an art class. good luck. and---- if you don't feel better soon, you might want to think about professional help. depression kills. keep your head up! ;)
