good question! I nearly freaked when I heard a "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson made into an instrumental elevator type tune.
Like it could have even been worse!

I think you could call a song an "oldie" if it's been released at least 15-20 years ago!

Im guessing about 20 yrs. Im hearing some stuff on the oldies stations that I was hearing in my highschool yrs (depressing aint it?). Link below also says 20 yrs or so.

i believe 20 years is condered classic and earkier would be oldies but you'll find some people refuse to believe that classics are only 60s and 70s

my oldies station is now playing grunge, so i'd say 10-15 years
