Like you are falling or something and you kinda jump/jerk up?

I'm not sure if that is what you are talking about.. but..

I've had that happen before. I'll like dream like I'm falling.. but I think that is more like right after I've fallen asleep and part of me wasn't ready to fall asleep or something.

Not sure.

It is weird you asked because just a bit ago I was laying in bed trying to see if I could make my soul move out of my body for a sec--- ok, don't laugh or think I'm crazy! I tried this 'cause years ago I was laying in bed next to my boombox and feeling depressed and it felt like my soul floated out of my body for a second (weird like I felt like I was moving out of my body) and that really startled me but it only happened for a second or 2.

It is just an involuntary muscle reaction which takes place while you are sleeping. Most people have this happen to them once in awhile. There is nothing to worry about, your soul is not trying to leave your body; that was an interesting explanation; though. Have a good night!!!

It happens to me quite often, but I don't know why. I think it is because when we are sleeping, or falling asleep, our brain is putting off random electrically signals to our bodies. I wonder if it is because it puts off a large amount all at once, causing us to jek. Another thought is that our bodies might be going to deep into sleep that our brain is signaled that we are dying so it sends an electrical pulse to start our body back to normal. I really have no idea, but these are my guesses.

You'd be at the set of coronation avenue! In idea I bet if not anything ever happend, there could were no Big Bang which could imply that stipulations for life could now not were created!! In physics isn't there a legislation that states EVERY ACTION HAS AN EQUAL AND OPPOSITTE REACTION?? Therefore if there was once no preliminary motion, evoloution could now not exist.... Cool! Existential questions:)

Yes, I think that it happens to pretty much everyone on occasion. There is also the situation where you will feel that you are falling and will quickly wake up.

Both of these have technical terms, but regretfully I don't know them at this moment. I have read about them and have experienced them.

Hope this helps.

That has happened to me but only when I've been falling asleep, like just before I go into a deep sleep...I'll suddenly jolt awake.

I'm not sure about a reason why, but it's freaky...LOL

This happens to me sometimes too it's really weird. Sometimes I also feel like I just fell off of something and then wake up because I think it really happened.

Yes, it does, and sometimes it is just a twitch. I have asked my doctor about this, and he said sometimes a muscle will let itself relax a lot, causing the energy to release. When you wake up, (usually because you felt it), the muscle rebounds.

happens all the time I read somewhere that it has something to do with our brain and primitive fears and nerves and stuff. Obviously I'm ill-versed on the subject, but I do know it isn't out of the ordinary for this to occur.
