They don't, and are under fire everyday for siding up with Bush. You see they came to their senses years ago with the inflation..The Heat bills alone are going to cost the Neocons the election from the North..People had to heat with wood last winter, and houses burned down right and left from it, the people aren't fogiving and forgetting either...you will see!

The South doesn't get it about 30 below zero and you can't afford the 800 dollars a month gas and electric heat bills that his economy has created in the Northern cities, People aren't stupis when your messing with their lives and money and Bush did both...

Belive me, regional identity is stronger than political identity. Im from the south and have never belived anything about yankee politicians of either party supporting any southern ideas. They may jump on the bandwagon if it can make them look good, but otherwise they think we're all subhuman. However, i fail to see how incompetence in handling fire is the government's fault. George Bush didnt sneak over to people's houses and pull coals out of the fireplace and put them on the floor. When i was a kid i heated with wood every winter and my house didn't burn down. not once. I didnt curse the first president bush or bill clinton while i gathered sticks, chopped logs, stacked wood, or got up in the night to add another log to the fire.

Why type of drugs do you take anyway? Your last entry stated that Global warming is going to kill us all from heat and that was Bush's fault, and now your blabbing about people having to heat with wood to keep from freezing to death! Now I understand why the Republicans keep winning elections if your an example of Liberal intelligence! Independant nope

If you really want an answer to your stated question, then I'd have to say that people who are religious--in the Fundamentalist style--and people who espouse 'traditional" values tend to assume that the Republicans support their vales and lifestyles. It's as simple as that. (I'm not saying that they're right; I'm just saying that's what they believe. In any case, they perceive all Democrats/liberals to be their sworn enemies [again, a perception--not the truth].)

I'm not sure Republicans are capable of realizing the reality of any situation,,, thy tend to ignore facts, they seem to be living in a fantasy land.........
