I'm having a garage sale this weekend and next (and no, my neighborhood and city doesn't care.)
But what time should I have it? morning, afternoon, evening? 6am, 8am, noon, mid afternoon?

All garage sales should start around 8 am until 5 or 6 pm. Thats standard most anywhere if you want people to come. Garage salers usually start early in the morning to get the best selection and go again in the early evening to get the best deals.

Generally, earlier in the day is better. Thats when more people are likely to come. Most garage sales start between 7-9am and end around lunchtime.

I DON'T KNOW HOW YOUR TOWN IS BUT GARAGE SALES ARE SUPER HOT EVENTS IN MY TOWN. I CAN SET UP AND START AT ABOUT ANY TIME OF THE DAY AND EVERYONE COMES AND GOES CRAZY. IF IT WAS GOING TO BE HOT THEN I STARTED EARLY BUT A LATER TIME GAVE PEOPLE TIME TO GO TO OTHERS AND SEE HOW GOOD THE DEALS WERE AT MY HOUSE! THE WEATHER HAS USUALLY BEEN WHAT I'VE GONE BY. HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD ONE!

If it's hot..have it morning-early afternoon.
If you have a lot to move,offer drinks ( for a nominal price of course) during the heat.
Then again- you can always close temporarily for lunch in the hotter hours and re-open later in the eve.
Arghh so many possiblities- let the weather be your guide.

To get as many people as possible, I'd say start at 8am and go till about 4 or 5pm.

well a lot of people go to early garage sales so you could have it like 9am-2/3pm

In the south, the old ladies are up and going to yard sales by 0600. remember to have signs up a week in advance to let their church women's group know and give them time to phone all their friends.
