ok so me and a guy started using the word 'love' to describe how we felt about each other. no, we werent together, just friends. but i really likeD him & i let it slip that i loved him... and deep stuff about him & everything. and so he says that he loves me too and blah blah blah. this went on for a good couple of months (during school). then, he pretty much breaks my heart and when i tried to ask why he lied to me, he acted all incredulous and aint know what i was talkin bout. he said he didnt know i meant 'love love' and that he didnt lie when he said he loved me... he 'loves me the way he loves all of his friends'. that was the first time he ever put it that way...
so i guess my question is...can the way u love ur friends be the same way you love someone special?
actually you know that sounds pretty stupid but i just felt like i was played... and i need advice as 2 wut 2 do about him...we're the 2 arguers who every1 thinks is perfect 4 each other.so genuine answers/ops plz?

Hi...
Things like these certainly happen....well...the way u love ur frnd certainly differs from the way u love ur spec. one...so all i can say is u must make things crystal clear and if u really think he has played on wid u..u must not bother him and ignore him to the fullest..may b he jst wasnt 4 u..after all the one who doesnt understand ur feelings...loving him is FUTILE....good luck and good wishes for u!!!

Well you said at the beginning of your post that you two were not together, and you were just friends,,,
yet you both used the "L" word.
It seems to me that you knew what it was, and yet now you are upset and feel used..
I am not picking on you, but you need to learn that people say and do whatever feels comfortable and this is not love.. it is lust, atttraction, maybe even friendship..

Sadly the L word is so misused..
remember MEN give women 'love" TO GET SEX.
AND WOMEN,, "GIVE MEN SEX" to get love.

I think you should ljust act happy, and do not make a big deal of HIM, be polite, and never available again.

when you spend with anyone, whether it is a "lover" OR A friend, or a new acquaintence, you must be careful not to read signs wrong, and maybe there are not signs,
I think it is best to leave the word 'love" out of your social life.. as you can get intoxicated on words, and actually do a real job,,on your own sanity, and feelings,, so think about what you say, and what you do,, and take responsibility for the care of your own feellings,

i hope you feel better soon
good luck

There is love you have for a thing or an idea, then there is love for a person. Fortunately, in spanish, there are two words for love, one personal and the other refers to an object.. (Amar VS.Encantar)

true love is a consistant good attitude towards life and it respects it's creatures. It doesn't let feelings dominate its reasoning. In my belief, our god is superior lest anyone make themselves superior in a relationship. If it's not a god, let it be something else we share, like goals or something. Friendship is the best way to keep a relationship strong. Love can also make you enemies feel remorse.

Love means never having to say you're sorry.
