I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am strait and I am one of the few people that don't need to legally enforce my religious beliefs on others.

I believe that laws should give people the freedom to do anything that they want to do as long as it doesn't directly injure other people or their property, and the safety of society. I don't see any problems with giving gay couples the same rights under the laws as strait couples.

I am not in favor of fornication in any form. I think that sin will always ultimately lead to misery. And I DON'T think that gay people getting married is a way around this sin. But, I think that if gay couples are going to have sex no matter what, that it's better for society if they are in a long term relationship.

There are laws that should govern society, and breaking those laws should be punished by the society, and there are other laws that govern morality and conduct, and breaking those laws are punished by God. I believe that God himself wants these laws to be separate. If they were the same, then it would be illegal not to be perfect.

Therefore, I believe that any two adults should be allowed to be legally bound in a union, and that all the legal rights and privileges should be granted to all unions equally.

Do u have to be Christian to answer this? That is religious bigotry. Anywhow, I'm against all merrage. I'm also against marriage. I'm 100% in favour of divorce, however.

Let me warn you as a married person: don't do it. It is the triumph of hope over the experience of a world full of unhappy people.

No way and never. It is immoral and not natural. We were not made to be with the same sex, period.
Just like a child molester or a rapist has to learn to control their immoral and evil cravings a homosexual must do the same or they are sinning a very grave sin, no matter what the rationalisation is.
Even if the entire nation or world for that matter accepted it doesn't make it right.
It'd be like letting rapists run rampant because they're REALLY "sex-addicts" and "sexually frustrated" and "need it more than others" and "deserve it" and they were "born that way".
Give me a frickin break. That doesn't make it right. It's still immoral.

I'm a christian and I'm bi. We should just keep to whir self's. There really not hurting any one. I don't think it would be that big of a problem except for~. Butt sex gooses me out. There's nothing "wrong" with it, but come on poop comes out of there. lol That is my opinion. These are toff questions. "Would you let a murder in your church?" What if that was the problem? Just something to think about? Are the problems similar?

Any way, that's more or less a point of view from some one who's bi, Christan. I love god. And much love to you.

This is hard, and is bound to stir up some arguements, but no. Biblically, homosexuality is sin, and marriage is a religious institution, so having a homosexual marriage would taint that institution.

However I don't think they should be discriminated against. I would have no problem with a legal "union" that would give them the same rights and priviledges that a married couple have.

Just don't combine homosexuality and religion. Don't combine sin and the Bible.

Scriptures in the Bible clearly explain how God views same sex relationships. A true Christian follows the laws of what the Bible sites. God abhors men laying with men as well as women laying with women. Research in the Bible about homosexuality and see what it says. God has given humans the gift of free will to make our own decisions and anyone can make whatever choice they want to, but a true christian will obey God. Only He, being our Creator, knows what is best. That is my opinion.

Marriage, by definition, is the union between a man and a woman.

I see nothing wrong with a formal union between two members of the same sex, but such a union needs a name other than marriage.

[P.S. Don't assume that every reader is a Christian!]

There has been same sex relationships since the beginning of time. So it doesnt matter to me that people of the same sex have intercourse with each other and can love each other in teh same way as people of the opposite sex...but I'm not really sure it's a good thing same sex people to marry. They can't reproduce without help

I am Catholic and I respect couples of the same sex that decide to live together. Marriage though is a holy sacrament that was instituted by God to unite man and woman and from their union give life to new creatures. God hates nobody, to my understanding God would be perfectly alright with unions of the same sex, it's because their union does not give birth to new lives that God does not want it.
