I'm only 23 and I'm already nervous about the future and what will happen in my life.

Its weird you say that because I think about the future every night and it scares me to think about what might happen in 10 years or even 10 months...

GREAT QUESTION !!! I don't think I am afraid of the future because I know that none of us are going to get out of this life alive... so it doesn't really matter when we die and each day we can see what is happening to is one extra day of knowledge...with that said,...the future is something to look forward to seeing if what we end up seeing is bad. I watch the news now as entertainment and try and guess what is going to be developed in the future. Think of how much faster things are being developed. It tooks thousands of years to just get to the basics that our great grand parents had just a 100 years ago and now you and I can sit in our homes maybe thousands of miles away and ask questions like you just did... so no I am not afraid of the future because even if us humans do something to kill off all the rest of the humans some for of life will come out of the muck and create an entirely new form of life on this planet.

You should be nervous! All that is, is a sign/side effect of uncertainty. But don't allow it to become fear. Life"s too short and there's already enough to worry about in living it day to day let alone having all the additional burdens which come from fear.
Chill out some and try to enjoy the time you have while you have it!

You will get older... you will do many fun things... there will be times when everything sucks... there will be times when everything is great. Just ride the rhythm, and dont get too caught up in the BS of life (work, jobs). Live your life to be happy and surround yourself with people that you love and that love you. In the end you will look back and remember all the good, and let the bad memories slip away...
Take chances, never be afraid, and always look around with the wonderment of a child...
Unless there is a nuclear holocaust.... then things would suck...

Dont be...it can ruin the present!! My philosphy is.. Dont dwell on the past whats done is done, dont fear the future as it is in your hands to shape, live in the present and seize the day, after all it isnt called the "present" without reason because each new day is truly a gift to be cherished as it unfolds, without regret for the past or fear of the future!

Im 31 and sometimes feel that way. I also feel excited about life just the same. I have immersed myself in learning new things. Especially Astronomy. When NASA launches LISA in the near future we will all see and read news that will blow our minds. I am looking foward to that!

Same here...i told my sister and she looked at me like i was weird or something...right now i have so much to think about my life and it makes me nervous about the future....but i told myself not to think about it too much and you should too....just go with the flow in life....good luck to you!!!

this is the age to get tensed because this is age where u try to find a job, settle in life, marry, family....and so on...and u are afraid of future...but it is normal and there is nothing to worry about...U will enjoy this phase of life if u can take it as a challenge...

I think that the furture is much more exciting to think about then the past, but I am nervous about what will happen too. Hopefully it'll all be good. :)

NO ..im not afraid of my future..becoz i have no control over it
the only control i have over is the present ..
so dont waste time worrying abt future ..LIVE TODAY and every moment of it..!!
