I can't answer for every woman, but I am not afraid of mice, at all. I can easily hold a snake, no problem. A couple of days ago I found a huge grasshopper in my yard and picked it up to show my kids. I am a tough old *****, I have leaned over and watched a dr stitch up a gaping wound in my hand, no problem. Somehow, in spite of all of this, I scream and run at the sight of a spider. I hate this fact, but there it is. Everyone is afraid of something.

Who isn't afraid of something unknown crawling on you. Yes some women are afraid of bugs and mice. I don't mind the mice so much, but bugs and snakes - just don't like creepy crawly things.

It's not a put-on and not all women are that way - my daughter works with mice in a lab at National Institutes of Health. Nor are women the only gender that detests certain critters: I loathe scorpions, biting insects and snakes, for instance, and I'm no woman.

It is NOT a put-on...
we had a cat bring a bug (a BIG bug) into the house... my wife and daughter were sitting at the kitchen table when the cat put the bug on the floor and meowed for attention....
BOTH of them were on top of the table or counter faster than the teleporter in star trek could have moved them... I nearly expected to hear a sonic boom from them moving so fast... and I'm not sure if my hearing will EVER recover from the 140db screams which nearly broke the window...
oh... and the bug was quite harmless... not one to bite or sting or anything.

Like the rest of the population, regardless of gender, some people are afraid of certain bugs and mice. My ex-boyfriend, for example, was afraid of spiders. I had to kill them for him.

I am not afraid of certain bugs and mice - I hate all of them! It is not a put on! I can't stand creepy, crawly things that can bite you, spread disease, and live in your house without you knowing it!

Some are really afraid, but pretend to be bold. Some are afraid and show it. Some are not afraid, but put on an act. Some are not afraid and show it. So there are all kinds. There's a saying - it takes all kinds to make this world. :-)

I HATE to show fear of something, so if you see me acting afraid, it's real. I never understood why people would be afraid of mice. I'm fine with most bugs...BUT... spiders....I have never been able to completely get over my fear of those (shudder). Honestly, in most cases, I think it's real.

There are women as well as men who are afraid of some rodents and some insects. You will do well to know the power of some small animals and insects less you become infected by them.
