I am very glad to hear honest and good people speaking up. The guy is absolutely the scariest thing to ever be elected. It's likely that the beginning of the end of the USA is due to him.
I think he has played right into the hands of Al Qaeda. Bush has allowed the result of 911 to be the taking away of our freedom. Now he's sealing our borders and, instead of setting an example for the rest of the world, we'll be hiding from it. To me, that's acting cowardly.
The USA used to be loved throughout the world for our ideals of freedom and acceptance. "Give us your poor, your tired, your huddled masses."
And the religious aspect? Jesus said to "turn the other cheek". Forgiveness. That is the hardest thing to do, yet the only real path to peace. The idea, I believe, is to stop the tit-for-tat and set an example. "An eye for an eye" was the old Jewish law that Jesus changed.
This does not mean 'don't discipline your children', or 'don't stand up for yourself'.
But in a continuing conflict, logically, one side has to stop aggressions first. Jesus' point, I believe, is that it takes the bigger man (or side) to say 'that's enough. I will not retaliate'. And the bigger the conflict, the more this rule applies.
Why do many Christians completely ignore this critical directive? And why does GWB?
You can't expect either side to say 'okay, we're even'. Yes, we think they are wrong. Guess what? They think we are wrong. In my opinion, a true Christian would turn the other cheek at this point.
We are VERY far from them taking over our country. The only reason for them to 'terrify' us is to get fools like GWB to take away our freedoms for them. And alienate us from the rest of the world. That was their goal. We are only continuing to motivate them. Pay them no attention, do them no harm, and their OWN PEOPLE will eventually turn on their leaders. Remember, there must be a motive for a crime.
The success we are giving them - sending MORE Americans over there to be killed - allowing them to affect each and every one of our minds every day - is a mistake.
Statistically, they will NEVER control the world with their petty little hijackings and suicide bombs - unless we let them.
"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

no, actually he thinks he is looking out for the interst of the united states for the future. the terrorist thing is a pretext to have an excuse for the things the US is doing. The ultimate goal is to get the united states into a more strategic position financially, and militarily. The rest is fluff and propoganda. Its unfortunate that alot of values and even the costitution seems to have been thrown out the window for this .... but i honestly believe he thinks hes being a true patriot. Theres no doubt about it the united states has become vulnerable over the past couple of decades, but i totally disagree with how bush and his cronies are going about things. So, the bottom line is there is no real terrorist threat ... on this point i agree with you somewhat because it is labeling ... but it has nothing to do with religeous views ... the terrorism label is the tool of the new world order way of thinking ....

What is happening now with the wars is something that was set long ago. It's not George's fault, it is just the way things are going to happen. Wait until the next president comes to office. Things will sure be screwed then!

No, I honestly think he's trying to start WW III.One of the first things he said after he got elected was 'What this country needs is a war to get it's economy back on track."

We, the United States initiated all this crap. Buildings destroyed, UN resolutions ignored,
OH crap this is a waste of time. Live on your knees comrade, I would prefer to die on my feet. My death would probably insure your freedom, isn't that ironic.

In my opinion this man is not fit to lead people. He is a prime example of how we (Americans) do not exercise our right to vote and study the candidates who run for office. We have only ourselves to blame.
