We are not that smart. We don't have shoes and only rich people have cars, every one else still rides around on a mule. We all have overalls ( with the top button, unbutton) and big black hats. We all marry our sister ( well I'm just dating my sister, we haven't set a date as of now) and Paw may get through the third grade this year. .........

I tell ya wHat young Lady, why don't you come down to Strickland propane where I can show you some Propane and Propane accessories.

I'm Canadian but have been down south for many NASCAR races and by all experiences...YES...the south really do act like King of the Hill people.

I almost pee'd myself in the episode where they had a half inch of snow and the cars that were flying past sideways on the road in the background.

I know several people in Florida who think EXACTLY like Dale. Some of the stuff that they say is so ridiculous, one guy will go to his grave thinking that people have been living and working on Mars for the past 20 years, another is convinced that river stage markers (those little blue signs near a bridge when you go across a river, they have numbers that state the median river stages and maximum before overflow, like 23.3 +13)..he thinks that if you look behind them, there are directions to secret Military bases where UN troops are training for the eventual takeover of the US.

Sorry for the book, but no not all Southerner's act like that, but there are some (sadly) who do.

LOL. Dude called you a "Yankee flake". What a gomer. The answer really depends on where in the south you're talking about. The part I was unfortunate enough to live in for a while was filled with the smile in your face, talk hella sh*t behind your back, snake handler types.

Very unpleasant people. Just in that part I was in though, i'm not saying everyone in the south is that way, so don't jump down my throat and call me some horrendous name like "Yankee flake". LMAO!

There are people like that all over! I moved from Atlanta to Denver four years ago to get away from the "small-mindedness" and intolerance of the South, only to find out that it is just as bad in Denver, if not worse in some ways! Can't wait to get back home!

While there are people like that everywhere (I know a few Dale Gribbles here in New Jersey) and there are people like them in the South, not all people in the South are like that.

Some might. Remember that's a TV show, it is all made-up. I'm sure you know that but you can't think of people as being just like TV characters just because they have a few things in common.

Many of them from Texas, yes (I can only speak about Texans, which are often a bit different than other Southerners). Of course, though, the characterizations are exaggerated a bit for the purposes of comedy.

Each person is an individual...and have to be individually judged. My sentiments though, are that people should spend more time judging themselves and less of others.
