the symptoms, not the causes. He encourages me to visit the doctor as often as possible. I told him I am using my grandma's home-made cure system and it is more than enough, it is free and it does the job. Whom should I believe? My friend or my grandma? (Keep in mind my friend charges me $25 for each advise he professes to dispense to me)

This question causes memories to become as vivid as the clearness of the day. Speaking honestly, I use a Traditional Chinese doctor; I have less problems than I had in America.

personally, i trust doctors who practice "holistic medicine" and don't just treat you like a list of symptoms in need of a prescription. i don't know what your condition is, but in general i'd be more prone to try family remedies before going to the doctor. i have been misdiagnosed enough times to be very skeptical. good luck!

Let me get this straight... every time this friend tells you to visit the doctor, you pay him $25. Then you pay the doctor his fee?

Go back to grannie!

If your friend is charging you for advice, then he is not a friend. Trust your grandma!
