Everytime i try to install limewire(Basic package) on my computer it always goes about half the way and then it stops. It has never fully installed its self. Is there a problem with my computer and if so tell me what to do so that i can fix it and u will get 10 points.Or u can tell me where i can go to get absolutley free music where i never have to pay a penny and dont have to download software.

I had trouble with limewire too. It kept wanting me to upgrade for about $20.. Try "frostwire", It looks the same just a different name

Your cp probably dosent meet the programs min req to operate, thus failing the install, or you might just try to manually install it (save to disk, ect...) I would take a look at your admin tools to see if there is a alert in the logs taht might tip you off to a possable conflict or something that could help you pin point the problem.... As per the Free music w/ no software... more then likely a warez s*** site. Better, is Bitlord. You have to install a sm program but u can get ANYTHING thats out! music, movies, games... ect... But not that I have used such a program to pirate media with because that would be illegal and all;) Good luck!

I've had the same problem. It says it can't download Java environment. But when you go to the Java site, it doesn't download either. You could just buy the Limewire software off their site.

When's the last time you cleaned out the cookies file (up top tools, internet options, delete cookies, and then ok)? Clean that out and do a disc cleanup (start button, programs, accessories, system tools and then disc clean up). Depending on how often you do stuff on the computer you may need to defrag too (dont ask...I scream for my tech support to do that...aka hubby). May also have to reboot your internet server (unplug the box that your computer is hooked to for a couple minutes and replug it in...should restart the net connection). Hope this helps.

Try morpheus.com, it is free and a lot easier to install. Go to www.download.com and type in morpheus in the search, download the free version. Hope this helps

LIME WIRE USE TO DO THAT ON MY COMPUTER...WAT U HAVE TO DO IS MAYBE REBOOT UR COMPUTER AND RETRY IT BEACAUSE THE MAIN REASON WHY IT DOES THAT IS BECAUSE THERE IS AN INTERFERRANCE...ALSO U HAVE TO SEE WAT KIND OF PROGRAMS YOUR COMPUTER CAN TAKE BECAUSE SOME COMPUTERS ARE SO OLD THAT YOU CAN`T DOWNLOAD UP TO DATE PROGRAMS
