I used to hate it because it was so different (I was named after a Shakespearean character). Now I like it - I'm older now and its very elegant.
I was almost named Vanessa, but my Mum's friend gave birth a week before she did and named her daughter that. Mum came with a new choice in a hurry.

I love my name. I chose my last name and had it legally changed in court. When I was considering names I thought long and hard about changing all of my names. I looked at baby books and phone books and just about every word I heard got tried on for size. When I was done, I realized that no name was more me than the one I was born with, except for the last name which was changed to the same as the people who raised me.

No, I don't like my name. It's Natalie. I like the name Shiloh and Sophie a lot but I don't look like a Sophie or Shiloh. When I ask people what my name should be they say Amber or Michelle. Those are pretty, too.

I've used my stage name for so long sometimes I forget who I really am. People seem to like my name.
