If you mean the Rocky mountains,
They are in the states of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and just a little bit of Utah. Plus a couple of Canadian PROVINCES, Alberta and British Columbia.
Answer #2: The mountains are in a solid state of matter.
Answer #3: They are tectonically in a state of slight flux.
Answer #4: Parts of them are in a pristine state of condition, other parts are in varying states of development, and parts of them are in a state of devastation, and parts of them are in a slightly radioactive state of condition.(rocky flats is in the front range, not quite the rockies, it is heavily radioactive).
