So i just got a new ipod for my b-day not more then 2 weeks ago and my brother downloaded limewire to my computer. but latley everytime i try to download a song, i'll get a pop up to a website to buy songs. not the song i'm trying to download but just to pay for songs all together. Then when im lucky enough to download, i try to put it onto my ipod it says its protected and cant be formatted. Is anyone else having that trouble? i told my bro and he said maybe theres some kind of new law and there trying to shut it down. Im new to this whole downloading thing anyways...is there a site that has as many songs as limewire to download and transfer. i dont mind paying for it i just really wanna start using my Ipod. Ive had my computer checked for viruses and nothing comes up. Maybe i need to upgrade to pro?

Get rid of Limewire. Not only has it been infultrated by the government, but its infected with loads of spyware.

Solution: dowload Ares. Way better, and doesn't have spyware. (and still free)

Hmmm... not sure, but whenever I do a search the first result is usually something like (can you afford 99 cents?) but as for uploading the songs onto your ipod, do you do it directly through LimeWire? try doing it through windows instead. Go to where the actual files are stored on your comp.

PS - when you find your downloads (mine are located at documents and settings/owner/shared) just right click on the songs you want and you should see an option to copy to a CD or device.

PS again LOL - here's an older resolved question that should help: http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/;_ylt=Au12_j13h5cp606Bww573GiyFQx.?qid=20060725090200AA54HqC

Well it IS illegal.
Go to:
http://allofmp3.com

Their songs range from 6-15 cents a song (depending on size) and you can buy entire albums for a little over a dollar. I absolutely love it! Even if you could get away with illegally downloading, you're still chancing getting a virus on your ipod, which happened to my brother and is very hard to fix!

Don't steal music - stay away from Limewire - that's how Napster got into trouble originally. Get your stuff legally from iTunes if you have an iPod, or eMusic.
