Bright Eyes,

If I had surrendered at the first sign
of danger, there are so many victories
I would not have been able to acquire.

One should not retreat without giving
giving it your best.

To quote Winston Churchill,
"We shall never surrender"
Don't you either --
Give it your best try,
you might surprise yourself!

Stay well!

SOMETIMES LOVE IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR, ODDLY ENOUGH I MET THIS GUY WHEN I WAS 19 YRS OLD AND SAW HIM FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS, I REALLY LIKED HIM BUT HE WASN'T READY FOR ANYTHING, SO I STARTED TO SEE SOMEONE ELSE SERIOUSLY AND THEN WE BROKE UP AND I RAN BACK INTO THE 1ST GUY AND NOW I'VE BEEN HAPPILY MARRIED TO HIM FOR 5 YEARS. I WOULD'VE BEEN MORE SURPRISED TO HAVE MARRIED HIM THAN I WOULD BE HAD I WOKEN UP WITH MY FACE SEWN TO THE CARPET----FATE IS WIERD.

Good idea, natural response, cut and run, and live to fight another day

Fight or flight.
Some fight, some fly... both work.
Surrendering isn't necessarily a bad option though!

Maybe you're defending someone.

P.S.
If you're so smart, you should have known that it's "lack thereof," not "lack there of" on your profile.
