Here's a resource by year of when the Chinese New Year occurs:

The Chinese zodiac actually is not the same as what you're tallking about. Two different things- the Chinese lunar calendar marks the beginning and end of each year by the moon cycles, whereas the western calendar follows the sun. That's why Chinese celebrate their New Year after ours. (the sun cycle is 365 1/4 days per year, split into twelve months, and the lunar calendar follows a 28 day cycle of the moon for each month)
The Chinese zodiac is a different thing and it doesn't "end", it just starts all over again each time. In it's simplest form, it can be explained as a twelve-year cycle, with each year represented by an animal. I was born in the year of the horse, for example. The twelve animals are: Rooster, dog, pig, rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, and monkey. 2006 is the year of the dog. Last year, Chinese new year fell on Feb 7th, this year I'm not quite sure, but it will be around late Jan/early Feb. Hope this helps!

The Chinese calendar follows the moon, so it usually ends late-January, early-February. You'll have to check each year to find out forsure.
