I actually have one of each. I have wellsfargo which is nice because you can have access all over but my credit union is nice because i just use it for a savings account and i dont have to pay those retarded fees if my account balance is too low

Credit union. They don't have to pay taxes but banks do. As a result, you can demand that your credit union pass on their savings to you as additional interest income on your savings or even your checking account.

Ask to speak to the credit union manager and bring this up.

If you travel oversea then I would suggest you go with Bank.If plan to stay in one place for the rest of your life then go with Credit Union.
