what will i do to be a good webpage developer?:-(?

what should be the first thing i will do? should i study first html?
please help me.....i want to be a good webpage developer so that i could make possitive editoryal or inspirational quotes....promise i will use it for good..........

The current trend in website design is major use of CSS. Old html ways of designing are dying out. Unfortunately, most website design programs have not caught this trend and still format their sites using html. If you are wanting to make a quick site easily i would suggest that, if you want a cutting edge site that will take a little more time and "hard-coding" then i would look into css. There are many sites to learn how to use css to design nice sites. Just search for css layout tutorial or something of the sort.

Basically there are two terms,
web-developer(a person who builds logic for site and do necessary programming for that including database interactions)

and the second is web designer (a person who designs the site including layout, look n feel and necessary formatting)

So, if you want to become a designer then you must first understand html, and if you don't have that much time then you can use Macromedia Dreamweaver, Frontpage and others for quick website building.

learn css, javascript, html,dhtml, flash, deam weaver, front page, photoshop and then any server site programming language .net, j2ee,php etc
