I suggest doing 10% of what you did yesterday, today. Your muscles are just releasing a little lactic acid. Anytime you start a new physical activity running biking lifting weights ... whatever .... do 10% of the same the following day. This will stimulate blood flow to those same muscles that are sore and help flush away the lactic acid.

And Yes, it will not be fun. But it will pay off when you get a little blood flow back in those muscles.

By the way, congrats on starting a workout program!

Yes, do not lift when your muscles are sore. The most important part of weight lifting is the repair phase, when you muscles are recovering by hypertrophy, or muscle growth. For this you need to eat plenty of protein in addition to your balanced diet and plenty of active rest (usual daily activities, not lying down on the couch).
What I recommend to my clients is that they work a different muscle group every day, so while some are resting, or getting active rest, the others are working out.

It isn't no good, it's just that since you are sore you probably won't be able to do as much and the risk of injury goes up, so it's not a good idea. If you are sore, take a break for the day.

OK, quit worrying about what other people say, and learn from your own experience, rest your muscle when you are sore and allow them to grow, make sure your drinking water (stay hydrated and get enough, sleep 8 hours)

Nothin' wrong with giving your body a chance to heal from a new work out. One thing I do is work upperbody one day and legs the next. Gives each one a chance to rest. Rest is just as important as the workout.

Yes, take a break for sure.
Usually it is bad to work out sore.
Work out every other day, consistantly.
Muscles don't grow when you are working, they grow when you are resting after working out.
