Listen to what ya want! I love everything- from 20's Jazz to Big Band to Celtic, and yes, Love Mr. Barry!. It is the sound, and the pleasure that it brings that is important. Too many people buy music that is hip to fit in, and that puts the MUSIC in charge instead of YOU!

I'm not an Air Supply fan, never have been. But anytime you get razzed about Barry, just tell them this. Bob Dylan once stopped Barry at a party, hugged him, and said, "Don't stop doing what you're doing, man. We're all inspired by you." Barry is incredibly gifted. No matter how bad my mood, or why, I always smile when I hear him singing "Daybreak."

Air Supply is ok. Barry Manilow is creepy I don't know why but he is. Listen to Steely Dan if you want mellow but not creepy.

Cause Barry wrote the songs that made the whole world sing, the songs of love and special things. Maybe that emotional honesty is too brutal. Maybe its cause you got a man on your mind.....

Maybe because your generation generally doesnt like either one. Nothing wrong with you liking them...it's great that you're expressing your own individuality and not running with the rest of the flock.

well I am 55 and I like Metallica, Natasha Bedingfeild, etc....Clay Aiken,,,,,Taylor Hicks...........is that odd...........Ever listen to Blind Faith or Ten Years After.......tell them that and they will say "do what?" If you like a song............or a group........from whatever time frame that is good.........I only like one Metallica song and that is Nothing Else Matters.......and I like Savage Garden and Journey.......so when it comes to music.........like what you want and don't worry about what other people think..........Just tell 'em.....Hey...it's what MY ears like to hear.....
