My hubby and I got new tats. They were done the legal way but in the guys house. Now they are red and warm to the touch. Needles were good. Mine is on my upper right arm his is on his chest. We have got tats other then these but I don't remeber them doing this. My arm is red almost all the was around but its a big tat . 4 inchs long by 3 inchs wide. His is smaller but still the same thing. Got them done with in the last 48 hours. Could it just be the placing or should we worry.
And is it ok to put A& D on it?

Just to add that yes they get washed about ever 2 hours and then A&D or a loction are put on.

Be sure to wash it a couple of times a day with Dial antibacterial soap and YES use the A and D after washing it.

NO A&D it's far to heavy, the skin cant breathe to heal. The tat shop should have stuff called Tattoo Goo, it doesnt contain lanolin.
Wash the tats often with antibacterial soap and allow them to air dry then apply the tattoo goo or regular lubriderm lotion. The most important thing is air.

A & D is the best thing to put on them--watch the redness tho.

I think that A&D would be okay. Keep an eye, though. We want to go to the doctor if we start noticing red streaks.

i didnt know their was a legal/illegal way 2 get tattoos...i have 2 tattoos one on my pec..and one going down my tricep...everything was red..i mean u are getting stabbed a billion times y wouldnt it b red and bloody

I would try Neosporin and call the guy who did them and ask...
