What do you think would be a better way to settle a conflict between countries,other than the traditional methods?

Let's say the UN developed a system of non-violent methods to solve a conflict,and everyone agreed to use that system.Such as tossing a coin,playing a video game,a boxing match between the two leaders,etc,this is the question!

It would not be a war without weapons technically, diplomacy without the corruption of the UN is an innovative idea.

Maybe both sides have to hold a metal rod up during a thunderstorm. If you refuse to hold a rod your side loses. If both get zapped neither side wins and cant complain or bring up the problem for one year.
