I have been thinking, and White men are given less rights than Any other race. Think about it, People of asian descent are called Asian-American, people of African descent are called African-American, but people of European descent are just called "white". Why are they not called European Americans? At a local school there is a school organization for people of Hispanic and African descent, which is fine, but there is no alternative for people of European descent, and if there was a similar organization for people of European descent they would be called rascist. In the television program "Mind of Mencia" Carlos Mencia uses the racial slur "beaner" quite frequently, which aparently is acceptable because he is of Hispanic descent, but he also uses the racial slur "cracker", if a man of european descent used the slur "beaner" along side with "cracker" he would be called a rascist, sued, and taken of the air. Is there discrimination to people of European descent.

Lucky2balive says it is the liberals fault, yet I am an Ultra-Liberal, I just have common sense. I guess that is rare for a liberal.

I have to disagree. Just because people just call me white doesn't mean they are discriminating against me and that's not a loss of rights, it is a lack of political correctness which most white people are against anyway. Carlos Mencia can use the word "beaner", because he is of Hispanic descent, it's the same with the "n" word, and the word honky. Carlos Mencia shouldn't be using the word "cracker", but look what channel he on, he's on Comedy Central, they make fun everything and everyone. Again that is not a loss of rights. For white people to cry that there being discriminated against sounds like a major sob story too me, we've had it easier than basically the whole world.

I agree with what you are saying, I'm not bigotted. (Unless you count an unreasonable dislike of green peppers and snakes.)
I'm an American, yah most (3/4) of my ancestors did come from Europe, a v e r y long time ago. I am proud of the work they did to build communities around this country and some of the fights they were involved in to improve it are inspiring. Some were heroes, most were just everyday people trying to raise their families and make a better life for their children.

I do find this entertaining: whenever I am called an Anglo I point out that I am actually a Franco (most of my ancestors came from France) and I appreciate not being confused with the English (being an anglo-phile I like to keep things tidy). I'm sure the English appreciate not being mistaken for French (don't remind them about William having come from Normandy or that the Normans were from...you get the point! LOL)

I'm having a hard time feeling sorry for my fellow descendants of Europeans. I work for a living and stay busy enough that I don't have time to worry about whether or not I get to prefix my nationality with "European".

I'm not sure where you went to school, but where I did a few things were pretty apparent:

1. Since the Revolutionary war, most people of European decent have not had any trouble getting official recognition as Americans. Other ethnic groups have not been so lucky. Perhaps appending their racial/ethnic identity with "American" has been done to remind US that they are as American as the whites.

2. Most social organizations (particularly in college) are pretty freakin' white. It always seemed to me (looking from the outside) that (particularly in fraternities and sororities) "white" was just assumed. Having one or two organizations per campus that identify themselves otherwise takes nothing from me or from you. Why bother worrying about it?

3. Feel free to be legitimately offended when someone calls you a "cracker". Tell the offender that you are upset if it is said to you directly. Start a dialogue. But until the loan officer at the bank refers to you as a "cracker" while denying your home loan, or the waitress at the diner while refusing you a meal, or any of the hundreds of other examples of actual things that have happened to people who don't look like you and I do, then you don't have a legitimate **social justice** complaint. No armed volunteers are standing on the northern border of Mexico to prevent you or me from walking in. Racial tension still exists in this country - it is not just a matter of history. It is also not just a matter of "their" history to get nominal treatment one designated month per year - it is our shared history as Americans.

My opinion.

the answer is hardship-free, the prepare is particularly troublesome. some human beings will continuously want to be/sense 'better'. In essence all we ought to do is to 2 issues: a million) develop into better self sustaining so as that we do not create huge international huge income gaps (globally) by ability of giving ability and administration to huge agencies and governments. How can we justify paying lower than a $ an afternoon to three human beings and £a million,000,000 income to a footballer contained in the West? Self sufficiency is on many degrees, personal, community, nationally, globally. basically it ability performing in techniques in which administration and ability are saved interior the locality/community and in no way giving administration and ability to others which include international agencies. 2) for each man or woman no longer to settle for discrimination or discriminating practices of someone even with ethnicity, gender, age, sexuality, ability, faith or united states of america in which they stay. ultimately each thing else develops, which include rules, rules and training.

Because White men have been in control for too long and obviously other races of men deserve the right to screw things up just like the the White man. Unfortunately, you're paying the price and yes, silently being discreminated against. It's all about creating balance.

Yes, I think we've been conceding more and more to the other races, while they keep taking and saying it isn't enough. Think of who are usually the first people to scream "racist!!" If a white male says something that another person doesn't like. But when we complain about something being said, they scream "freedom of speech!!" Back at us.

Equal opportunity is alive in america and there for the taking, it's up to the individual to act.

This point is brought up time and time again, and i believe it is valid. I am not racist, but it does appear socially unacceptable for, as you so eloquently put it, European Americans to express themselves and explore OUR culture without ridicule and scrutiny. Some brave soul should really put together an organization for 'European Americans" at your school... will it be you?? Good Luck and i got your back (kinda)

Good point. I agree completely.

To add to your point, I dont' see why African-Americans and Latino-Americans can blame "the white man" for all their troubles. To be honest, there's more "white" homeless people in the world than any other.

Only when people decide to think for themselves will world peace ever come...
