An answer to make you laugh is Mosquito Eaters...aka Mosquito Hawks...Cherokee is familiar with my phobia of these and yes, I know it's corny...but it is very serious to me...like where I need professional help...They don't even eat mosquitos and they look like flying spiders to me...they always get in my house and chase me around. I hate how they fly all out of control...the first time I ever saw one was when I was 8 yrs. old. The closest thing I had seen was at home in Finland, which was just a small mosquito.
Anyway, I was 8, wearing my sun dress when I heard this loud unusual buzzing...I also felt something...I looked in the top part of my dress and you know how big those SOB's can get right? Well there was one, stuck in my dress...huge! I ran screaming bloody murder ripping my dress off. Ever since then....shudder...That's another reason I hate summer...they are never there during winter.

On a more serious side....my most frightening moments were 2 things...when I was mugged and I don't even like talking about the way that ended...I was in 8th grade...and to this day...only 3 people know...
The other was being in a Tornado...not literally, but I was RIGHT THERE...in Wisconsin at a wedding when it hit a few feet from us and everybody ran for shelter...there are no words to describe what that was like...THAT was the true definition of fear...I have never felt so out of control in my life.

My most frightening moment was when I was 16 and in the middle of an electrical storm that knocked the electricity out and then found out my dad had suddenly died. I couldn't even turn a light on or call anyone (this was before cell phones)...I still have a fear of storms to this day because of that.

Two things, both related, When the doctor said about my newborn son "I cannot tell you if your son will live..." He did and is fine. Or when the Sheriff called to say that my daughter had been in a wreck and was being airlifted to the hospital. She is struggling to overcome brain damage.

Don't drink and drive, and wear your damn seat belt. IF she had listened to this, she would be facing a few months loss of freedom, instead of years of uncertainty.

I am most scared of someone taking/hurting/molesting/killing my children. Everything else is moot compared to that.
