Every generation in human history has thought itself smarter than the last generation and wiser than the next.
Your grandparents said it about your parents, and so on down the chain. It's what people do when they get older; worry about 'standards'. Adult literacy is actually improving every year.
Although certain language points do need hilighting and clarifying (and therefore 'teaching'), like 'their, there and they're' mentioned above, people rarely study the grammar of their own language. It is usually first met when studying a foreign language.
Rather than purely grammar, maybe extra classes in writing style and spelling could be given.

I happen to know because I taught in an intermediate school. They used fill in the blank sentences and rarely had the kids write complete sentences. I taught science and soc. st. and did more correcting than the grammar teacher. She just graded the blank spaces they filled in.I was told that I made work too hard because I didn't write the answers on the board and/or use fill in the blanks! I wanted the kids to learn, really learn and they did remember their lessons better when I had them look up the answers and study them.

Hehehe, you have to be the "mathematical genius"... I'm within the twelfth grade myself and feature had plenty of issues with my possess university method. Unfortunately tho, until you desire to be homeschooled I doubt there is something you'll do... perhaps speak on your academics and ask if you'll have the following days paintings... it in no way hurts to be forward. If you discover your self equipped wherein your entire coursework is finished check out speaking to a counselor to look if you'll prepare to get your entire credit then and there. I doubt it is going to paintings but when you're competitive sufficient (and via competitive i imply power, no longer violent) you might have a risk. I'm presently enrolled in an choice university wherein we get credit score for a path in best 6 weeks. Unfortunately, to get right here i needed to fail all my categories in constant university for 3 years in a row. But now that I AM right here I've made 90s in all my categories besides Alg II (yeah.... I'm extra the "literary genius" ;)

My dear child your grammar spelling is wrong its "grammar", and not "grammer", first try to improve your spellings and your language and then give the examples of your 4 year old neighbour's child. And i am sorry, because i don't know who teaches grammar in your school, because your school name is not been mentioned & i am not the member of your school.

After about second grade (teaching you when to use am or are), I don't really remember any grammar lessons. Seniors at my high school were still having issues with there, their, and they're. It's sad, really...

I'm a college student and I feel very weak at grammar. I only learned it in 3rd and 7th grade. I am also poor at spelling.

It must have something to do with short-cuts, computer age jargon, laziness, etc. So many people can't be such poor spellers and writers of correct grammar.
