Possibly oak, maple, or pine. It is not going to be cherry or cedar.

Do you do a lot of start-and-stop driving, as in (city) driving? When you turn the air conditioner on, it locks the clutch on the compressor which puts an increased load on the engine. The engine works harder. On the engine, you have a fan clutch. This is controlled by heat from your engine. The only time a fan clutch works effectively is at idle or just above. If the fan clutch is bad, you will not get the extra force of air around your engine while you are stopped, thus creating an over-heat situation. To see if the fan clutch is bad, since it obviously is not making noise, start the vehicle and wait for it to warm up. Lay down under the front of your vehicle when it starts warming up. Make SURE that your e-brake is ON. As your vehicle approaches a specified temp., you will hear a gush of air and maybe a small "click". You will notice a BIG change in the amount of air movement. If you don't, replace the fan clutch. Go to www.napaonline.com. They have all the parts you need at an affordable rate. Good luck

first things first, step by step check up, look through the grill at the condenser to make sure there are no fins bent over, then check to see if the condenser may be full off bugs, grass, leaves or dirt.you may need to check between the a/c condenser and the radiator to make sure that you do not have any build up there. if you do take a garden hose with normal water pressure to rinse the radiator and condenser out from the fan side, do not use high pressure this will bend the fins over and cause a bigger problem. next check the inside of the radiator, make sure the engine is cold before doing this, you may have to drain some of the fluid out to be able to see the radiator tubes, if there is build up around the tubes, that means there is a build up of dirt and other chemicals inside the tubes which will restrict the flow of coolant and cause it to run warm or hot. if this is so have the radiator cleaned. if the antifreeze had not been changed in the last couple of years it is time to do so, and make sure you have the right mixture of antifreeze and water. next you need to make sure the radiator pressure cap is working properly, the cap should hold 15 to 17 pounds of pressure and it should be for a closed system and make sure there is coolant in the recovery jug. in hot temperatures at idle in gear you should be able to run the a/c for several minutes before any temp increase on your gauge, normal engine temperatures are around 210 degrees, never let it go over 220 degrees

Your A/C pump runs off a belt attached to your engine. Much like the alternator or power steering pump.
The A/C pump creates a drag upon the engine when you turn it on. This is a fairly normal and common problem.
I suggest you only use the A/C when you are driving 30 mph or faster. Never let the engine idle for more than a few minutes with the A/C on. If you have to use your A/C often, be sure to have your belts and hoses checked frequently. Since the pump has such an adverse effect on these items (overheating and friction) they tend to wear out quickly.

One good place to look is for a malfunctioning thermostatic fan clutch.
Look up the procedure online. I am sure somebody can put testing and diagnosis in better words that I can here. (no tools needed)

Make sure you have the correct amount of Coolant in your radiator. In fact, you should have your radiator flushed and refilled.
