quite frankly, the notebook. There's this whole thing surrounding it, and it's become a cliche without much effort on it's part. And yet, kinda diggin' it.
Another one was The Third Wheel, with Luke Wilson. I'm menationing him as a means to identify it if anyone should feel the overwhelming urge to rent this. although he is not the contributing factor to this movie's greatness. Hilarious.

The new Superman (Superman Returns, I think)....My Mother-In-Law and I go every weekend to see a movie and we take turns picking -- well, I would have NEVER picked that movie in a billion years -- I hate that type of movie -- ...ummmm...yeah... I was pleasantly surprised.

Tristan & Isolde. I was expecting sappy romance and it was actually very political and had a lot of decent action. It even kept my husband interested. Plus, the scenery was beautiful.
