A lot depends on what you do there are so many people trying to make it today it is getting harder and harder and you have to ask yourself why you want to be at the top money? fame ? or a real burning desire to perform even if your broke 90% of the time I consider myself at the top although no one will ever know my name. I get to do cool things ( Grammys MTV VM's etc,) but I will never be a star but I save my money and go from project to project and show to show. And for me life can't be better half way down from the top.
