I am not able to use the mirror while bathing as it gets foggy due to steam while bathing. I have tried rubbing dry soap or applying oil on the mirror before starting the shower. But it is of no use.

Good ventilation will cause less foggy. But there is a special mirror where they claim that the mirror will not get foggy due to steam. These mirror are coated with special chemical or so.
I have a suggestion you may wipe the mirror , add few drops of kerosene with a pail of water and wipe it. There will be no foggy but the water will slide down.
we use this method for car windscreen and it works.

I think Rain-X makes an anti-fogging product. I've seen it in automotive departments in WalMart. You could even check AutoZone or something like that. Not sure if it works, but it might. I know that people that play paintball put some kind of anti-fogging treatment inside their masks so it doesn't fog up while playing. Same kinda stuff.

I agree with the majority of the answers here. shaving cream works! I seen it done on the tv show "How clean is your house?" and I tried it, it works. I have to use the shaving cream about once a week to keep it clear.

I'm with the people that say to wipe shaving cream on it. I haven't tried it personally, but it was recommended once on an episode of "How Clean Is Your House?"

They make a spray that prevents the fog from "sticking" or I guess you could run it under cooler water when you need to use it. Other than that I have nothing. Good luck.

You don't have a vent in your bathroom? Maybe you should put one in...all that humidity is very bad for the structure of the home.
