Most people are already agreeing on one concept.
It is called : FEAR.
and rules the world today.
especially in US, where everybody is afraid of everybody. I simply wonder why the Americans want to live a life like that??
always scared of meeting someone on the street.
Gosh - I couldn't live there.

Most people would agree that they deserve political representation of their interests. Of course, this agreement is relative: those whose interests are already represented would often not agree that the previously underrepresented groups deserve similar representation (though that's not always the case), but everyone can agree that their own interests or domestic identity group deserves representation. I mean, can you think of any group of people who doesn't believe that their own ideas and interests don't deserve any representation in government? Those who don't seek better representation are those that believe they already have good representation--were the representation they already have to fall below a level they find acceptable, they would try to get it back to where it was before.
There are obviously a few other ideas that *most* people in the world would probably agree on: the sky is blue, water is wet, it's cold in Antarctica, etc. But I chose this because I think it fits the question better; it's not an agreement on fact, but rather a universal belief.

We should all treat each other fairly.
At least, many would intellectually agree on this. Most, however, find it exceedingly difficult to put it into practice as a philosophy.
But what makes us civilised is that the lack of success should not stop us trying to, to the best of our abilities.
