So my breasts are normally sore just before my period, but this time is murder! I was lying awake last night, because the pain was radiating from the top of my breasts through my back and down into my upper abdomen. I intend on seeing a medical professional, but I was just wondering if anyone knows what might be the cause. Someone told me possibly pregnancy... But it's still too early to tell that one. Please gimme some feedback.

get a pregnancy test...now!
otherwise, you may have a hormonal imbalance. if preg test is negative, see your doc about it. if preg test is positive, see your doc about it.

May want to check the space between the ribs and see if that is tender or sore also..If you have a twisting of any of the ribs it will cause considerable discomfort and may radiate into other tissues.. but when you mention radiating into the back, would surely suggest this to be one of the more obvious possibilities.

It definately could be pregnancy. I had a friend who was in tears her breasts were so sore in the first trimester. Also, I know that when my back is out I get radiating pain. Ask your doctor about going to a chiropractor (but be careful if you are pregnant).

usually the breasts are just tender if you are pregnant, sounds much more severe than that. Sorry I can't help - kinda in the same boat as I have had breast pain in one for over a month, heading to Dr tomorrow, feels like a bad bruise only no signs of one - good luck to us both!

Wow...tough problem. Something similar happened to me once, but it also included a high fever, and my breast was red and inflamed. It was because I had an infection in my breast called mastitis. The doctor gave me antibiotics and it cleared up in a few days. I'm no expert but I think you should visit your doctor ASAP.
