I like Kate. I feel compelled to tell you the truth, though, and that is that guys don't care what your name is as long as you look good and you are a decent person.

Okay, I do believe I went through this phase once. These are posibilitys that you can take out of the name Katherine. (it being my name too)

I wanted to go with Kat at one time too, but too many of my friends have that name, and I'd more often end up being a 'Kitty'. (somthing you get for having older friends)
Truthfully, Katie sounds younger than Kat, but it's not like it make you sound 'hotter'. Confidence is all you need to make people look at you as mature, or sexy, and if a name will help you achieve that, go for it.

I would go with Kate. Katie is too cute and Kat is too old (I don't like Kat).

kat is nice, i have a friend whose name is katherine and she uses kat its nice and unusual as for making you sound hot, i don't think so but you could also use kdc - kaydeecee too but still kat is better
