A vasectomie is 99.999% effective. Usually after a male has the proceedure then they go back in twice in a three month period to make sure it all went well. After that period, you have a better chance of getting struck by lightening. Although I guess he could be lying to you.

First of all, I wouldn't trust a man who said he had a vasectomy, then asked if you wanted him to pull out. Actually, I probably wouldn't trust a man who said he had a vasectomy unless I saw him get it myself!
To answer your question, both male and female sterilization methods are very effective. Yes, they do sometimes fail but the failure rate is normally less than 1%. To solve this problem, tell him you had a friend or coworker who got pregnant when her husband's vasectomy failed and you've made him an appt at Planned Parenthood to have a semen check because you're worried about it.
He can bring a semen sample in to have it tested to make sure he is still sterile. This will certainly answer your question. However, maybe if you don't entirely trust this guy, you should be wearing condoms for all your encounters anyway?

It is not possible unless something went wrong with the vasectomy. While some vasectomies reverse themselves, that is extremely rare.
It is possible a man could lie about it. However, some men and some women like the feeling of a man pulling out to finish. Maybe he thought you'd like that.
Vasectomies only prevent pregnancies, not STDs. Protect yourself.

It is possible for vasectomies to not be successful. As mentioned, follow up tests are required.
Some methods used for vasectomies can also be reversed in the future (why they are used), such as tying the tubes closed, but that also means that it can reverse itself without the man being any the wiser.
So, still use condoms, you should be anyway for other reasons, not just pregnancy. But if condoms and the pill ain't your thing, spermicide can help reduce the chances, and get him to do a follow up test to make sure and put your mind at ease!
About the pulling out thing, I have no idea why he would say that, as he should have NO sperm in his pre-'***', (co not know the medical term, sorry for being crude). Ask him about it. It is possible he lied just so he would not need to use a condom, it has been known to happen!

Vasectomy is 100 percent reliable. It is conducted in a few minutes and no long hospitalisation is required. Before sex you have to wait for fewdays and ensure that sperms in testicle are not there. You can ask the doctor. For extra safety a few weeks you can use condoms also.If the man has done vasectomy and minimum wait period is over no need to withdraw. There is no chance for pregnancy after proper vasectomy.
Vasectomy does not reduce strength .The ejaculated liquid will not contain sperms. You can be confident. You will not become pregnant. If you want child later the surgery can be reversed.Enjoy sex with out fear!
After vasectomy they issue a discharge card indicating date of surgery hospital etc.You can ask him to show.If you donot want to ask examine the testicle bag carefully, there will be normally a small surgey scar. You can detect if clean shaven only.

Vasectomies can be reversible.. But they don't reverse that soon.. So it all depends when he had the vasectomy and how often he gets a checkup... I have a friend whose husband had a vasectomy 10 years ago, and last year they got pregnant... Surprise!!! he was astounded, and thought she sheated on him, so they had a DNA test, and lo, and behold he was the father... Nevermind the drama, the guy was dumbfounded, so he is making sure to get checked up regularily.
So I'd say.. when in doubt, go get checked!

The vasectomy is the cutting of the vas deferens, the channel that connect the testes to the penis. This is quite reliable birth control...at least after any residual sperm is gone. Any more than 2 months after an operation and you should be in the clear ...so to speak.

a vasectomy is not 100%. there is still a small chance that you can get pregnant, jsut like with a tubal you still take a small chance. There is a chance that he was chance that he is lying to you. Men have been known to do that from time to time. I would go to the Dr just to make sure, and then if you trust him go with your heart...Good Luck

I believe that vasetomies are concidered to be 100% effective after somewhere around 6 weeks. He could very easily lie about having had one. If you get a chance look at his testicles for evidence of a scar from the procedure.

tell him you're confused about him asking you if you wanted him to pull out, since he said he had a vasectomy, and can you see what the scar looks like?
