make sure she keeps up with the liquids, if vomitting is her only symptom it's probably morning sickness (which isn't just something that effects you in the MORNING. mine was ALL the time sickness). If she starts losing weight or shows signs of dehydration call your OB, they can put her on meds to help her get through this! They had to on me when I lost 15 lbs (and I did NOT have 15 lbs to lose, I started my pregnancy weighing 130lbs at 5'7" and I worked out at the gym 7 days a week, so that was ALL muscle). My 2nd and 3rd pregnancy weren't as bad, as long as I kept eating bread, small and frequent meals will help SOME people (the first time the THOUGHT of food made me vomit). Call your doctor if you honestly think she has the flu (like a fever, chills, congestion diarreah etc. ) your doctor will tell you what over the counter meds are safe, basically tylenol for fever, sudefed for stuffiness and robetussin for chest congestion, diarreah and vomitting she may have to live with, I don't remember if there are any "safe" over the counter meds for that. Like I said watch to make sure she's not dehydrated! A healthy mom makes a healthy baby!!!

she has morning sickness very common in early pregnancy. She could try eating some dry toast or follow her own instincts as to what makes her feel better. This will all be over by the 3 or 4 month usually. Nothing wrong but check with the doctor if you are concerned. Sounds to me like all is going along normally. My congratulations on the baby and my condolences to your wife's stomach

It's more likely she's just pregnant!
I am 4 months prego now, for the second time. This time around, ice water really helped me feel better, and it is the best thing to throw up again!
Stay away from dairy, it's the worst thing coming back up. Just let her lay in bed, and get her what ever she needs. Empty her throw up can as soon as she pukes, that's always nice.
Sometimes hot lemon ginger tea helps.
Honestly nothing will make it better, just getting through it is all you can really do. Limit smelly foods around the house!

Might just be morning sickness...but try giving her the old home remedy of chicken noodle soup and 7up. Along with the saltine crackers! I've heard that peppermint tea or putting some ginger in warm milk may help an upset tummy. Just be there with her and show her how much you appreciate her.

In the first trimester(the first 3 months) a women will have morning sickness. It is normal, her body is going thru some hormonal changes right now. All you can do is support her. Do yourself a favor for the both of you and go get a book called "What to expect when you are expecting". It explains a lot for pregnancies and what to expect. If it seems it is just worse than normal take her to her OBGYN! Good luck...and don't sweat it dad.

Make sure she is getting alot of water so she does not get dehydrated and also try some crackers. I know when i felt sick i would eat a couple of Tums and it seemed to help. It may not be the flu, prob just morning sickness. It will pass.

Are you sure it's not just from the pregnancy? Just be patient and available for her when she needs something but not too pushy! :) Saltine crackers may help settle her stomach a little. If it's too bad the doctor can give her medicine to help her stop throwing up...usually phenergen. Good luck!

I was the same way. My mother told me to eat lipton's chicken noodle soup, and it worked. It was the ONLY thing that I could keep down. My Doctor also told me to eat anything with ginger in it(ginger snaps and ginger ale were my favorite). Also eating frozen juice pops(like otter pops) were helpful.
