can i email people who have aim using yahoo?

i heard that people with yahoo can't email people with aim. is that true?

You can email people who have an AIM email address from a Yahoo! email address.

What the person telling you may have meant was that you cannot send an instant message (IM) from Yahoo! Messenger to be received on the AIM chat program. Those two are not compatible.

No bcuz I just got done e-mailing a friend with aim about 10 minutes ago.
