MTV ROCKED when it first came out. I haven't watched it in years. I think they totally went downhill. Sure.. MTV2 has more music, but ya know what? It stinks, too! I miss my music videos back to back to back. Music trivia in between songs.... news reports that MATTERED for the music fans. Sigh.. ahhhh the old days. lol

I wish they would have played a whole day of the old MTV yesterday. The bits and pieces they did show from 25 years ago brought back great memories. I was 15 years old when it first aired. I can remember my parents were out for the evening and my sister and I thought we were getting away with something by watching it. I love the 80's anyway! Those were the days I tell ya!

I agree, agree, agree. It was the greatest in the early days. They had great music videos. Why can't they bring all that back? They should remove the M from MTV , because it is mostly reality shows and annoying other shows. Someone else should get creative and give us a new music station with what we really want.

Well im only 13 and started watching mtv when i was in pre school (my older sister watched it so i would watch it with her). Since about 2002 when they started playing A LOT of reality shows and putting rap on trl i stopped watching it.
I am so disappointed in MTV. There is no such music on it anymore (like you said).
Maybe in the next few years they would get their head striaght again...

I couldnt agree more. MTV is cra[p now. I remember when it was headbangers ball and Michael Jackson videos (when he wasn't a nut yet) Now it is mostly retarded shows that have nothing to do with music and you cant watch most of them for more than 20 minutes without seeing a male/male makeout session. (Nothing against homosexuals) They play a small block of R&B videos once a day....MTV is NOT music television.

MTV went downhill about ten years ago when they started to change the concept...
You know airing more shows and playing less music video's...

I hadn't watched MTV in about 10 years ... then my nephew was over and turned it on. I was excited at first. I thought I'd enjoy it but....... I did not. I don't like it at all! I was very sad about it. Guess I'm getting old.
