Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to entertain her? I have plenty of ideas but maybe you have some better ones. Thanks for all your answers.

I think it's a good idea to take her places where there are kids her age. It will occupy her and give you a break. I don't think I would entertain her though. Maybe you can teach her some crafts, make paper mache with flour & water & newspaper..... or letting her chalk up your driveway (washes off with rain). Kids like to be creative and she's at the age where everything is magic and an adventure.

I remember watching my grandmother crochet and I thought she was magic making flowers...... just watching her...... and by the time I was 8, I made my first sweater. Maybe getting a crochet hook and an old thread spool and putting 5 nails in it and some yarn will show her she can create a rope. Now they have the plastic spools at the craft store - but it doesn't quite have the charm as a wooden spool that grandma made for you.

It's amazing that the simplest, cheapest things are intriguing to kids her age. Just a little fun with grandma..... wish my boys would give that to me..... hope I live long enough anyway....... Have fun with her.... you never know what memories you will make for her after your gone someday. My grandma was everything - and all she did was made me feel 'special'.......even letting me take my bath in a washtub outside in the back yard with Mr. bubble......funny it's those things you remember......

First off, make certain the rat has well well being. It's no well to shop for an animal out of pity that could endanger the well being of your different rats. If you particularly wish to deliver him a house whilst he is unwell, get him a seperate cage. I'm simply concerned approximately why he is blind...additionally if he is historical, consistent awareness from more youthful rats could also be a nuisance. Also, ensure it is a male as good...you would not wish a surprising outburst of populace. It's no longer healthful for older rats to have youngsters in spite of everything. So recall that... But when you feel he is no danger in your different rats, blank out your rat's habitat, and get ready them for a tub. Give all 4 a tub with hot water, and a impartial little one oil shampoo. It's well for them however so much importantly, it makes all of them scent the equal. It sounds dull, however they would possibly not become aware of there is a new man at the block. They'll be some distance much less susceptible to any aggressiveness closer to eachother. This is how I've constantly announced new rats to eachother, with luck up to now everytime. Good good fortune!!

Ask your local library about kids programs for her age group. You might also get her involved with a program at your local Y.
