i.e. people on Internet forums who deliberately post outrageous stuff - treading on every sexual, political, moral and religious taboo - simply because they know this will spark off a flood of hilariously offended replies. (They then make coffee, sit back, and watch the fun unfold! YHBT...)

If I can make a joke or a discussion out of it, I do it. If it contains a bit of seriousness to it, I might try to engage them. The grossest and stupidest stuff, I ignore.

It's just a matter of responding in a somewhat decent manner or just not answering. We are not forced to respond to those type of questions.It's kind of a Pandoras box scenerio.....you may not know what its about until too late. Most people respond to break the boredom.
I am guilty as the next person, because when answering those types of questions, as you can answer the same questions over and over only so much.
When interesting questions come along they are hard to answer because of those questions throwing you into a different mindset. You can always log off and wait til a later time or the next day when your feeling better about it..
