Possibly by the time they are getting close to being depleted. I think the last estimates I heard was around 100 years from now.
Let's hope by then we have gotten busy and found other sources to make our plastics etc...

No. It will lead to innovation in America to find alternative fuels. China will just copy us like they always do. What's a little theft of intellectual property anyway?
No big deal for China, they live on that stuff.

i wouldn't be surprised at all. china gets alot of its oil from iran for very cheap, so they want to keep the current gov. US is mad why they aren't getting so they want to change the gov. if US does attack iran then yes. but i also think its very hard for these two countries to live with out each other, because US wants to buy cheap products and china wants to have jobs for all his people. So they really need each other.

I don't think it will lead us to armed conflict...... But I do believe it will cause Chine and the west to split the globe in half, china controlling one half, the western powers the other half.
